The Rest of the Day

It was fun in the moment—the blob and the zipline were definitely highlights. The canoeing was actually one of my favorite parts, even though it came with its own kind of chaos. I didn’t exactly enjoy being chased by Coffield and Joe; honestly, it was pretty scary. We ended up hitting the edge of the hill, and Jazz, who was in front, fell back and hit her back in the middle of the canoe. On top of that, the water was freezing. The worst part was the walk to the bathroom and locker room while shivering cold.

The Reality

Sometimes you really need a break from life, and then, at some point, you even need a break from that break. That’s exactly how I felt two hours after getting out of the water—the exhaustion hit me harder than I expected. Once I finished my homework, I went home and napped the rest of the day. Nevertheless, it’s important to take a break from life, whether it’s for a few hours, a few days, or even a few weeks. Go somewhere and unplug. Take a moment to reflect on your goals and who you are.
